Condolence: Dear Karon,
I can't tell you how sad I felt to see your message about Mark's passing. I have known him for a very long time through badminton - almost 20 years I would guess. He was always such a grand man and gentleman. My last recollection of him - and you, was being driven through Quebec City during the Canadian Masters there - 2012, downtown from the university - one of the many lovely and thoughtful things he would do for anyone. He always displayed a fine sense of humour and a wisdom that I really admired and appreciated. I can only imagine how changed life will be for you and his family without him. My father (98) died this year as well. I am visualizing them meeting each other - they seemed to be cut from the same cloth. Hopefully there is quite a party up there this year with Nelson Mandela, Rita McNeil, Peter O'Toole, Roger Ebert, Tom Clancy and Edye Gorme Mark and my father!
I will always remember Mark and knowing him (and you) have me my world brighter. I will miss him.

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. The short time that
I spent in Ottawa at the RA club, meeting and spending time with
Mark at the club and at tournaments was pure pleasure. He generously shared his joy of life and the game of badminton with everyone. A pure gem.
My you find strength in knowing what a great man he was.
